Michigan City Area Schools is the public school system serving close to 6,000 students in Michigan City and surrounding areas.
The "Dress for Success" fund is a discretionary fund for school principals, helping them provide new items of clothing to students in greatest need. Items all comply with the MCAS "Dress for Success" uniform dress code. Many who receive these items are homeless or are facing emergency situations. The DFS fund is a vital resource for our schools - especially in cases where students wear hard-to-find sizes. This is a partnership with St. Andrews Products, which provides the clothing and delivers at no cost to our schools.
The "Dress for Success" uniform dress code was instituted in 2012. It is helping us keep the focus on academics, is improving behavior, and is instilling a sense of school pride among our students. Thank you for your support!
