LaPorte Park Foundation
250 Pine Lake Ave
LaPorte, IN 46350
Established in 1984, the Park Foundation acts to support the La Porte Park and Recreation Department in promoting, improving and creating La Porte parks. The Foundation strives to help in educating the community and visitors about the city's parks.
The Park Department, under the leadership of Mark Schreiber, is currently working to identify which needs and potential improvements to the current park system will be needed in coming years for the LaPorte City Parks. With your support, the LaPorte City Park Foundation will be there to assist the Park Department in improvements and upgrades for our city parks.
Through the years, membership contributions have helped the LaPorte City Park Foundation to assist the Park Department in maintaining and improving your city parks. Donations like yours helped to build Fort LaPlayPorte located in Kesling Park, completely renovate Ben Rees Park from a community eyesore to a neighborhood jewel, and provide new playground equipment at neighborhood playgrounds, like Scott Field. These are just a few examples of the many great projects that have been accomplished with the help of membership contributions. Without the support of local businesses and local residents we would not be able to accomplish the numerous city park improvements that we have.
